Novel Effect appoints Bahar Wadia as its first COO

As COO, Wadia will bring discipline to the Novel Effect scale.

Prior to Novel Effect, Wadia spent two decades scaling and turning around businesses across a broad segment of industries. He holds an MBA in Economics and Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with a background in hardware and software engineering.

At Novel Effect, Wadia will report directly to Matt Hammersley, CEO and Co-Founder, and will be instrumental in setting strategy, building operational excellence and financial discipline.

Founded in 2015, Novel Effect participated in the 2017 Alexa Accelerator, powered by Techstars, and has patented technology that was featured on Shark Tank. Their flagship app of the same name has received numerous awards, including the Webby, Cynopsis, Parents’ Choice, and Mom’s Choice awards.
