‘No Exit’ Brings A Romance To Life With A Talented Ensemble Featuring Dennis Haysbert

A new movie streaming on Hulu brings a foretold romance to the screen, brought to life by a talented ensemble starring one of our best actors.

“No Exit” tells the story of a group of strangers seeking shelter during a snowstorm.

There’s no cell service, and that’s a problem at the end of the day.

The mere presence of star Dennis Haysbert makes viewers feel safe, solid and safe, and here he plays a former Marine. But even for his resourceful persona, there’s “No Exit” – which makes the film unique in his long career.

“It’s a first for me,” he said. “It’s kind of a mystery thriller, and it plays out a lot like an episode of ‘Twilight Zone’.”

A young woman has escaped from rehab and finds herself stuck with people she doesn’t know at a remote reception center during a blizzard. All of this leaves her struggling to discern friend versus foe, while we try to guess with her.

It also appears that a 10 year old girl has been kidnapped, so the question then becomes, who is involved? And how deep?

The clues accumulate, as well as the snow.

“Any one of those people could have done it,” Haysbert said.

During the filming of the film, the cast members grew extraordinarily close.

“There’s always, you know, always an apple,” Haysbert said. “There’s always one, maybe two, you know ‘Oh my God, really?’ But in this cast, it was love at first reading.”

“No Exit” is a taut, tense, tight thriller, and there’s not a second wasted in the film. The image engages and keeps the audience guessing on the way to a terrific finale.

It was originally designed for movie theaters, but it’s the type of small picture that could get lost amid big blockbusters. So it only made sense for the thriller to be streaming.

Hulu is owned by Disney, the same parent company as this station.
