Hunt A Killer presents Whodonut?, a mystery puzzle

Hunt A Killer launches a number of firsts for the company, including an immersive puzzle titled, Whodonut?, a YA novel published by Scholastic titled, Perfect Score, and Hunt A Killer: The Detective’s Puzzle Book, published by Ulysses Press and distributed by Simon & Schuster.

Hunt A Killer, the creators of the popular mystery, sci-fi and horror games, has officially announced an expansion to its portfolio of immersive experiences. Hunt a killer publishes a number of firsts for the company, including an immersive puzzle titled, Whodonut?, a YA novel published by Scholastic titled, Perfect Score, and Hunt A Killer: The Detective’s Puzzle Book, published by Ulysses Press and distributed by Simon & Schuster. The Puzzle and YA Novel release in May, and the Puzzle Book releases in June.

Here are details on each of the new Hunt A Killer releases:

  • Whodonut? – With this unique puzzle, players will take on the role of an assistant detective to uncover the truth behind the mysterious death of the co-owner of Do Not Not Donut. Along the way, players will put the puzzle pieces together to reveal the crime scene, answer lingering questions in the detective’s notebook, and fill in the blanks to solve the case. Unlike other murder mystery puzzles, Whodonut? has six hidden pieces, each essential to identify the killer, which the player will need to uncover during their investigation. Included with the puzzle is a detective notebook filled with important details, as well as an answer chart. Detectives will have to analyze the details of the notebook and the puzzle to open the correct boxes on the answer board, with each box containing a piece that fits into the puzzle, revealing an important detail about the case.   • Perfect Score: A Hunt A Killer Novel – This is the first Hunt A Killer children’s novel published by Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education and media company. The book, written by AM Ellis and published May 17, 2022, tells the story of aspiring PI Jolene Kelley as she opens her own investigation into the death of her guidance counselor at North Shore Prep. This is an original young adult novel featuring mind-bending mystery, a collection of compelling characters, and intriguing clues characteristic of Hunt A Killer games.   • Hunt A Killer: The Detective’s Puzzle Book – Put your crime-solving mind to the test with codes, numbers and other mind-bending puzzles from the groundbreaking creators of Hunt A Killer. In Hunt A Killer: The Detective’s Puzzle Book, you’ll meet private detective Michelle Gray who needs you to uncover the books and hone your investigative skills before the next big murder case.
