Writer-director Asif Akbar’s spy action thriller is based on the classic Masud Rana books by the late Qazi novelist Anwar Hussain. The plot is being kept under wraps, but we believe Grillo will play the antagonist of the Bangladesh Counterintelligence Agency’s secret agent Rana, codenamed MR-9.

It is also reported that Akbar, Aziz and Nazim Ud Daula developed the film’s script from the first novel “Masud Rana: Dhonghsho Pahar”, originally published in 1966. Hussain wrote 550 volumes in the series, based on the franchise James Bond film.
