A former resident of Lebanon releases his first novel | Local News

The Weasel Cay Chronicleswritten by former Lebanese Chadd Allan Wheat, was published.

“It’s been quite a journey,” Wheat said, “but after years of writing, editing, and rewriting, I’m extremely happy with the results.”

Wheat is a former resident of Lebanon who now lives in Venice, Florida. He wrote humorous columns for The journalist from Lebanon and covered local high school sports. While in Lebanon, Wheat participated in several community activities, including the Lebanon Follies, the Center Township Council, and was appointed by Mayor Matt Gentry to the Lebanon Historic Preservation Commission.

The Weasel Cay Chronicles is a humorous adventure novel set on a fictional tropical island. A struggling private pilot named Charlie Spinnaker helps his brother arrest a small-time Cuban drug trafficker, but within hours a strange chain of events begins that plunges him into the world of global politics, drug cartels and spying. With the added participation of a temperamental singer-songwriter, a famous news anchor (who happens to be his ex-girlfriend), and a caffeine-addicted spider monkey named Elvis Aaron Presley, the world peaceful Charlie spins out of control like a Category 5 hurricane.

“It’s a great summer read,” Wheat said. “There is action, adventure and very colorful characters. This novel is like a tropical getaway in written form, and I think readers will enjoy it immensely.

The book is available through Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Apple Books and other outlets. Links to the various points of sale are available on www.weaselcay.com.
